Fiscal Cliff and Internet Gambling

It seems Poker is a popular game in Washington these days, and the fiscal cliff negotiations have a variety of players, with hands to play.

Harry Reid, is the Democratic leader in the Senate, and a long time proponent of gambling legislation (Not surprising, as he is Senator for Nevada) .. he has been trying to repeal the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, (UIGA), and pass a new law, allowing it.

This is an uphill struggle, for many reasons, but, apparently, he now has enough votes, that a tacked on bill, to 'must-pass' legislation, would get through.

I just wonder, if he hasnt got a very important role to play in the Fiscal Cliff negotiations, and .. as a quid pro quo, wont slip in new Internet Gaming Law, under the radar.

I am long US companies, who would benefit from Internet Gaming. Its a long shot, but, they have arrived before.
