Hustle ..

So, I caught a 10.00 am train to London, expecting to get there, maybe 2 hrs, before a cricket game was starting.

I paid an extra £2, to sit in 1st class .. which, I couldnt complain about, and a young lady came and sat at the desk, to use the power outlet.

Half-way, the way train was cancelled, as someone had killed themselves at the next station. (its a bit sad, that this is the 4th one, I have been affected by, in 3 yrs -- horrible for everyone concerned, especially the train drivers/cleaners).

At the station, about 200 people looked to complete the 1 hr journey to London. A different train company, ran from a station, 10 miles away, so, I ambled over to the taxi line, where 15 people were waiting. One taxi came and went, and a new one arrived, with space for 6. I was at the back of the queue .. but, got on the taxi. I saw the lady from 1st class, and asked her if she wanted to join me .. the taxi had 1 more space, but, she seemed embaressed to jump the queue, and declined.

The train from the next station, was leaving at 12.03. The taxi ride, was due to end, at 12.04 .. just missing, but, we had all the smart-phones tracking everything, and as we arrived at the station, the train wasnt there (a good sign).

The train arrived, as we were crossing, to the correct platform .. and sprinting, just made it.

I was at the ground, 45 mins, before it started .. (and lost) .. but, dont regret the hustle.

One of the games, was a ladies T20, and the quality, is v basic. They have to start somewhere .. but, no-one is ever gonna pay to watch this shit.

I first heard of Bitcoin, on the DonkDown radio podcasts .. in 2012. At the time, in was 8 bitcoin for a $ ..

A yr ago, Bitcoin, was $600 a coin. Over the weekend, it touched $4200.

Shud, coulda, wuda etc .. but, it looks like a classic bubble.

  1. hi megarain, I like your blog but why do you use commas like they're going out of fashion? For somebody as pedantic as me it makes it difficult to read:-) Just the same as if somebody who uses capitals all the time appears to be shouting, all the commas give the impression of pausing for breath...(I know you're getting old but not that old surely!)...keep up the interesting blog though, thanks!
