Champions Trophy Final - India v England - Edgbaston

We know if it's Edgbaston, it's gonna be wet, and we weren't disappointed.

The completed match market, traded over £10 million, which is a decent sum.

I was v heavily involved in these markets, and posted on twitter, my book, at a certain point .. it was a nice picture.

The book was heavily influenced with the theory, the ICC would change the rules .. just a guess, but, it made sense .. and it paid off.


In their wisdom, the ICC couldn't find space in the schedule, to allow reserve days, for either the semi-finals, or the final .. So, when the rain fell, both on the 2nd semi, and the final, the public were left largely wondering, what would happen.

I don't have a problem, specifically, with no reserve day, but, it appears the ICC changed the cut-off times, at least for the final .. And, this was never communicated to the paying public .. Till way past 4pm.

I saw many people leave their seats, and go home .. And u couldn't blame them .. As, they judged they were being taken for complete fools, by staying .. Which Edgbaston, has a history for.

All the ICC are doing, is alienating the public .. I suppose they don't care, it's all about TV revenue, but, u can only get away with so much.

In the game itself, you saw just how important momentum is .. I think Bell losing his wkt, is a 50 over game, last yr, saw the same sort of collapse .. and .. Dhoni is a quite brilliant captain/wikky/batsman.

Be v surprised if I bother to get up for this bore vest, but, hey, it's what sad do,s do, so, we will see.

Hard to see a result, unless England lose 2/3 wkts quickly, and gets the shits.

Not sure India deserve anything, and full credit should be given to Eng for over achieving in this series.

Won on the game, but, it was hard on the body. Congrats to England.

Suspect draw will go a tad shorter, but, am happy to stagger a few small lays in, at this level.



Negative / Slow approach by India .. Not taking singles, have forced Mr Draw into 1.55.

Curious approach by India .. In the first 20 NZ, 5 overs, for 4 runs .. Can't fathom this.

Overslept again ... Well, at least, 4 hrs sleep is just not enough.

So, at lunch, India have got to 148-4, 182 behind.

So, since last night, the Draw, as expected has re-assessed, and now sits at 3.4

If u had the balls, to lay the 3.0, in any sort of size, that's a good earn.

Not sure if I will be up at the start .. Been a long day elsewhere ..

Traded the game, in my sleep, as left some backs of India at decent prices, and lays of the draw.

At lunch, am mainly with the draw, as thinking it will go a little lower.

Just a question, of at what price, the 'Bigger fool theory' will kick in.

And after Lunch, Mr Draw dives, 296-7, Draw is 2.24 .. Have been laying from 2.6 down, a wkt would be nice.

And re-laid, when it got to the 2.2x handle .. And we got paid, with 2 quick wkts.

Draw now 2.76 ... Wait for it to go lower, before re-lay.

And Eng, all out, for 330.

New, inproved, Betdaq book .. I wont post other positions elsewhere .. too scared of taxman.

Eng strike quickly, just as I was hoping India would go lower. Have a roughly level green book, for now.
